Updates from across the RMD UK network — sites, governance, and the wider near-peer BLS community.
This site has been rebuilt to better reflect RMD UK as a national network of sites, with a dedicated home for institutions interested in joining and a single, network-wide faculty directory. Several site pages remain templates pending content from each site — see individual site pages for status.
The near-peer Basic Life Support model developed by RMD UK sites has been adopted into the Resuscitation Council UK's BLS portfolio. RMD UK remains the independent community of sites that delivers and develops this model — not a branch of RCUK — and is working with RCUK on a framework for new sites joining the network. Read more about this relationship.
A new site is being established at the University of Plymouth, joining Birmingham, Bristol, Warwick, and Brunel in the RMD UK network. Visit the RMD Plymouth page for the latest status, or get in touch if you're involved in setting it up.
RMD UK has an active research programme focused on near-peer BLS education, instructor development, and training outcomes. Work is coordinated through RMD Birmingham, with cross-site research in development as the network grows. Visit the research page for publications, current projects, and collaboration enquiries.
Note for site editors: this page is a minimal launch version. Add site-specific news (course dates, instructor weekends, publications, awards) as new entries, most recent first.
