RMD Plymouth

University of Plymouth — a new site being established with support from the RMD UK network

A chapter in development

RMD Plymouth is a new RMD UK site currently being established at the University of Plymouth. As with all RMD sites, RMD Plymouth will run its own near-peer Basic Life Support programme, recruit and train its own student instructors and assessors, and join the network tier alongside Birmingham, Bristol, Warwick, and Brunel.

There is no live programme, course content, or faculty roster to show yet. This page will be updated as the site develops — in the meantime, get in touch if you're involved in setting it up, or interested in helping.

The near-peer pathway RMD Plymouth will run

Every RMD UK chapter follows the same development pathway, from candidate through to senior faculty. Plymouth will build towards this structure as the chapter matures.

1

Candidate

Receives BLS training from near-peer instructors.

2

Instructor

Trains to teach BLS to the next cohort of candidates.

3

Assessor

Quality-assures teaching and signs off competency.

4

Senior Faculty

Leads chapter governance and faculty development.
